Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something.

So I moved to London, safe and sound. Been meaning to update this blog, but had no time to, literally.
As you all know, Lehman went bust last Sunday, so my first day was extremely interesting, for lack of a better word. Only thing I can say is, at least I wasn’t starting with Lehman, that would have been an utter disaster. A colleague was telling us at dinner just now about an article in a paper he picked up during the week where this guy moved from Paris to London to start with Lehman. Anyway, long and short of it all is, pretty much the whole desk left after 10pm.
The rest of the week wasn’t much different. On average I left after 9pm, today we got out at 8pm which was quite the record for the week. It wasn’t a “bad” week per se since we made money, but as a colleague put it, we were “up on profits, down on energy”. In a way I had prepared myself for the new working hours, and yet at some level my body just wasn’t ready yet. I will need a lot of sleep this weekend to recover.
It gets better, or so I’m told. Even then.. it’s a long year ahead.
